This website is now being hosted in a new format. I'm no longer updating information on the Audi RNS-E Nav system. However, the documents I created in the past are available here. Most of the links have been converted to PDFs (see the attachments section). Audi RNS-E information for 2003 Audi allroad Pictures of Nav & Disc (see attachments section) Installation Pictures (updated 19-Mar-05) (see attachments section) Map Pictures on the RNS-E (updated 23-Mar-05) (see attachments section) VAG-COM modifications for RNS-E (updated 7-Apr-05) (see attachments section) UPDATE (12-APR-06) A number of people have contacted about finding parts and pieces for the navigation system installation. I bought my navigation system through the local dealer brand new for nearly $3000. At that time, that was the only way to get a working unit in the US. Since then, the European nav versions have been opened up to work in the US. These Euro units are available for considerably less. A great source for these in the states is Steve who can be emailed at bmwz1@earthlink.net. Steve offers complete packages including Nav unit, GPS antenna, adapters, DVD, etc. Please make mention of this site when ordering. UPDATE (17-SEP-05) I've gotten rid of my Audi allroad that's pictured in the installation. I bought the car as a Certified Pre-Owned from Victory Volkswagen/Audi in Harrisburg, PA. My experience with them was an absolute nightmare. The car had issues from day 1 and neither Audi nor the dealership wanted to do anything about them. I had two shops involved in trying to resolve vibration issues. Never once was the problem resolved. I fought my battle for over 4 months trying to get Audi or Victory to take the car back. No one was on my side. Audi Customer Service was absolutely worthless. The dealership fed lies to me and Audi Customer Service on numerous occasions. It was a horrible experience. My only resolve came when I got the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office involved. The AG's office was able to convince the dealership to take the car back at nearly the price I had paid for it. Needless to say, I'm pretty well turned off to Audi. Which is very difficult to do for a guy that's been a loyal VW driver since I first got my license. I've never owned anything but VWs and this allroad. Oh well...what can you do. My nav system recently sold to a gentleman who will be installing it in his RS6 - sounds like a nice home for an RNS-E. I'm still willing to answer questions - but due to my lack of interest in Audi's and recent developments on the RNS-E front, my information may be slightly out of date. I'll try to answer emails - but you may find more information on some of the links below. Watch out for Victory Volkswagen Audi in Harrisburg, PA. Watch out especially for a 2003 Audi allroad with VIN: WA1YD64B03N036357 This car now has an extensive repair history. Problems with this car include the vibration that can be felt in the steering wheel and front seats... the left front drive axle separated from the transmission while the car was in motion (result of the vibration?)... and numerous other issues. Victory VW Audi lied on numerous occasions regarding the CPO inspection and work they did on the car. Again, Audi Customer Service was absolutely worthless.
